There isn't currently an option to play the timeline seekbar faster or slower than the normal set up, although you can fast forward through it if you haven't set it to be a read only seekbar.
As for future plans, we don't share information in regards to our product road map or new features we're considering, but you are welcome and encouraged to share your thoughts on items you'd like to see in the form of a feature request.
