variable to make layer stay active with mulitiple layers

Jun 21, 2019

How do you see you own person discussions posted here?  I wanted to go back and find the person that first answered this for me but don't know how.

I have 3 layers.   once one is viewed, I want it to stay on the screen.  I don't want it to disappear.  I have some advice to use a variable, but I just don't know enough about them and can't find specifics on how to do it.   How to I get the "set layer 1 viewed equal to true" variable?   I couldn't find "set".   I must be looking in the wrong place.    I was given an example of the trigger/variable code, but don't know how to replicate it.

Hi Janet,

Provided you don't jump to a new slide, once you show a layer it will remain visible until you physically hide it. There is no requirement for any extra triggers or variables in order to achieve this.

The only other way that your layer will be hidden is if you open another layer where the layer properties are set to hide other slide layers:

In answer to your other question above, if you want to find someone who answered an earlier query that you posted, the best way is to go to your profile by clicking on your name or profile image (in your case, your initials in the red circle). You will then see all the posts that you have made and, by selecting the appropriate post, you will be able to find the details you are looking for:

Finally, where you are looking for "set layer 1 viewed equal to true", what you actually need to select is "Adjust variable".

Hope this helps.
