Variable works in Review but not in Moodle

Hi. I built a course that allows the user to choose an avatar. My variable is set up correctly, and so are my triggers. When I test it in Review it works fine, but when I upload it to Moodle cloud it malfunctions. It doesn't display the correct avatar when you advance to the next slide, but when you revisit the slide it works. Its also not with every slide (even though the variable + triggers are the same). It works if I do it with different characters (attached picture: different character). I'm stuck, and wondering if its either the character causing the issue or Moodle cloud. Please help
