Variables and Triggers in Layers

Jul 03, 2023

I have spent so much time trying to make this work that I can no longer see the answer. On my base layer, I have manually made markers. You click the marker, and it will take you to a layer, where you click each button and information displays. When that button is Visited, you click the next, and so on. When all three are visited, the text directions and an X will appear for you to return to the base layer to click the next marker.

It sounds good, but I can't get it to work. Any help or advice you can provide would be very much appreciated. I have attached an example document. Thank you!

Hello Sheila, I reviewed your SL file and modified the triggers. I also removed unwanted triggers from the layer. Regarding the button visited states, you don't need to add the triggers and the button states change by default if predefined states were being used.

As you mentioned once the state of all the three buttons changes to visited state, the "x" button on the top and the instructions at the bottom will appear.

You can follow the same for the rest of the markers.

Please review the SL file attached for your reference and let me know if that works for you.

Oh wow! That looks easy enough! The person that taught me states/triggers/variables told me never to use a predefined state. I've only recently learned their wonders from another "Hero." It's taking me some time to get used to how much easier they are. Thank you so much for your help. Much appreciated!
