I have a storyline project with 2 slides, the second of which has a video set to auto play when the timeline starts. The first slide is simply a picture, set to auto advance when the timeline ends at 1 second. I did this to avoid the "play" button when I publish this and use it in a Rise module. However, the auto play of the second slide's video isn't working. Is this an issue that has recently come up? I have used this technique in the past with no issue. Using Chrome as a browser FYI.
Hi Natalie, in order to auto play, the user must first have some interaction with the module. It might be because you have the first slide to auto advance, there is no interaction with the course in the browser, and therefore the video can't auto play. This is a policy that modern browsers have implmented.
The easiest way to get around it, is to have the user complete some kind of (arbitrary) interaction with a page prior to reaching the slide with the autoplay video.
