I've searched for an answer and couldn't find it. When I insert a 90 second video, my slide sets itself to 1000 seconds. So I change the video length appropriately ( to 200 seconds or more), yet to shorten my timeline takes for ever because its at 3555s.
THIS IS FABULOUS! I saw the clip and did what it said and it worked!!!! I don't know why Storyline hasn't fixed this issue in 5 years. I'd like to know why it happened in the first place. As I mentioned, my video is 90 seconds. THANKS ONCE AGAIN HEROES COMMUNITY and Kenji!!!
Thanks, Kenji, for the amazing help! We are tracking a feature request for an easier way to shorten a slide's timeline. I'll add this discussion so we can keep you updated!
Norma, I'm not sure why the timeline went to 1000 seconds after adding that video. Typically, the timeline will adjust longer to match the longest media on a slide. We're happy to have a closer look at any files that are behaving oddly!

Hi Norma,
This short clip, posted on an older thread, can be a great solution in shortening the length of your timeline.
Hope this helps.
Kenji

That is awesome to hear, Norma.
I guess the developers behind Storyline are still working on how best to implement this in a future release update.

Thanks, Crystal!
I did submit a case to support - and Vevette was very helpful.
Glad you were able to get the help you needed, Norma. Thanks for the update :)
