Video timing issues

Nov 28, 2012

Is anybody else having issues with embedded video getting cut off at the end? the timing on the timeline seems to be off.

Does anybody know how many frames per second Storyline exports the swf at? could this be an issue? is there any way to change the frame rate in Storyline?

Hi Dave,

I don't think this is related to the frame rates. Is this happening when you preview, or after you've published and distributed the content? First, if this happens when previewing, make sure that your content is local (on your hard drive). Working from a network, USB, etc., can cause issues with media. If this occurs after you've published, be sure you're viewing the content in the environment for which it is intended.

Here's some more information:

If you view published Storyline content on your local hard drive, you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features of your content to fail.
To properly test your published content and share it with others, upload it to the environment for which it was published. Please review the following article for details:
If you've confirmed all of the information above and your video is still cutting off, let us know.
Thanks!

Will do Christine ... the videos are local, on my hard drive and I have posted on our LMS and I seem to still be having an issue with some of the videos ending before they are supposed to and extending the timeline doesn't resolve the issue. I'll have another look at it and if I can't resolve the issue I will let you know.

Thanks
