View local content via the Articulate Mobile Player (Android)

Oct 07, 2015

Is it possible to publish and store Storyline content locally on an Android tablet (e.g. stored on a SD card), and view the eLearning in the Articulate Mobile Player App?

If so, how do I do it?

Best regards,

Helle

Hi Helle!

Hopefully someone will be able to chime in if they have completed this before.

Typically you'll need to have a way to download the course to your mobile device, so publish to a web server or LMS and then download to the device. You'll need to ensure you've included the option for offline viewing when publishing - and please also review the information here on which browsers, operating systems, etc. are supported for mobile viewing.

Hi,

Thank you for the advice, especially the one about choice of browser.

However, our challenge is that we handle confidential information and prefer to keep it off line.

We only need this solution in a limited pilot phase until we have a suitable in-house solution established. And it will only run on a single device, so we can handle a manual process, such as storing the output folder manually on a SD card or similar.

Do you have any other suggestions - any creative work-around that we can apply?

Best regards,

Helle
