Virus in SCORM File?
Jan 08, 2014
Wondering if anybody has ever encountered this:
I recently had to create a training module in Storyline in multiple languages for a Third-Party Partner.
They are using the LMS Knowledge Anywhere.
I delivered the zipped SCORM file to them...
And they are giving me feedback that the SWF file in the SCORM zip file is reporting a virus on their system.
How is this possible, since Storyline auto-generates the swf file?

By chance did you import any SWF in as a movie?
False positive in virus scanners is not uncommon. What product did they use to scan the file?
There are no SWF imports in the file.
It looks like they used AVG
Have you tried scanning the zip or affected file with another anti-virus/malware tool?
A quick Google search shows that AVG has a bit of a reputation for false positives. May or may not be the issue here, so I'd be sure to scan the file with some other virus scanners.
Thank you for your feedback and advise...
Our TPP is working with AVG to exclude the file indicated...
And our IT Dept is going to work with me to use another anti-virus software to scan.
Great! Be sure to post back the results.
