1. How can I add controls so the learner can pause / go back / skip forward the voice-over narration?
2. How can I make the voice-over stop when the learner goes to the next tab? (Currently, the voice-overs overlap if one goes to the next tab without waiting for the narration to finish.)

For your second question, is each tab sitting on a layer? If so, using the setting to "hide other slide layers" will prevent the audio from overlapping.
