Web objects on Articulate Storyline

Hi Catherine,

I'm not sure I'm following your set up in regards to how/where the form was created and embedded into Storyline and how you're publishing for Articulate Online and Tin Can. 

There are some known issues in regards to web objects not displaying as detailed here (and this is true for SL1 and SL2).

If you're able to share a bit more information about what you've set up and how you're testing this, that would help us offer other troubleshooting ideas or tips.

Thanks for getting back to me. 

So I created an evaluation form using Articulate Storyline and uploaded it to Articulate Online because I wanted to track answers from users. I then added the URL of the evaluation form as a web object into my module to appear at the end of it and published it for Tin Can.

Ok - so are you publishing for Tin Can, as the final course is being hosted in an LMS and you want to use the AMP? I'm still unsure about the behavior you're describing here "When opening it on (any) browser, the evaluation form appears and then not again until I have closed the browser and opened it up again. The same behaviour applies to whether I've started a new module or gone back to one."

Are you not able to get to the form at all or is it closing down the browser? 

If this is hosted in your LMS, you may also want to look at testing it within SCORM Cloud to see if there is an LMS issue with opening a web object.

Apologies I seem to be missing notifications of your replies!

So when I open up my module and then go to the evaluation form, it appears normally and then if I go to another module or restart that same module and then go to the evaluation form it just keeps trying to load it up but never does. However, when close the browser and then open it up again and then go on a module to go to the evaluation form it works fine. Then it doesn't work after the first use again.

I just don't see why it would work the first time but then not again after that until I close down and open up the browser again.

I'll have a look on the SCORM cloud to see if it's the same there.

You'll want to ensure you're subscribed to replies at the top of any post you're involved in to ensure you receive the notifications via email. 

In addition to testing it at SCORM Cloud, you may also want to look into how it behaves in different browsers, as they could be caching and loading the data differently and causing some of the delay issues you're seeing.
