I've been trying to embed a 3D object into my assessments on Storyline. I have the 3D model hosted on a 3D viewer platform and I'm adding it as a Web Object (by adding the URL). However, when I publish the lesson, it gives me the entire webpage of the URL and I see the menu and the comments etc. How can I import just the model alone from the platform?
If your web object is hosted on YouTube, we have a list of optional parameters in this article that will allow you to control what elements are hidden or shown. I'll have to defer to the community for specifics if you're using a different platform. If you let us know what platform you're using, perhaps someone from the community with experience in it will be able to chime in with some insight. :)
Hi James- I'm not familiar with Sketchfab but hopefully someone in the community will be able to chime in with some pointers! Looks like Michael's examples are along the lines of what you're looking to accomplish.
These are not my models. I just linked to them from SketchFab to answer a user's question. Not unlike with web-hosted videos, you can simply use a model's embed code or URL to either embed or link to it from a webobject.
This is awesome. I'm trying it but I wondered what settings you use for the embed code that it loads so fast. Mine takes forever. I made the model in sketch pro and hosted to Sketchfab.

It might take some fiddling with the embed code or URL, but it should work as shown in these examples here and here.
Hi Ali,
Thanks for your reply. I am using Sketchfab to host my 3D models.

One of my examples (the SUV) is a SketchFab model.
Hi Michael,
The model looks great. Did you use an iFrame or did you use the Insert Web Object from Storyline directly?
Wow I love your 3D models ! Can you give some details about how you integrated the models into Storyline ? Love the coffee machine model.
Thank you

Thank you ! I'll give it a try :-)
