Weird bugs -- no clue what is going on.

Hey Heroes, fam;

I am coming across strange bugs in my articulate storyline file. There are weird things appearing after export but these 'artifacts' are nowhere to be found in my source file. I will add some screenshots so you can see the source file and the export. I have no idea what is causing this but there is nothing in the timeline that I can click and remove. It is just appearing after export. Weird no?

A lot of other strange bugs happening with this file. Anyone has any idea where these items are coming from if they are NOT in the timeline or in the sourcefile/preview option -- just randomly appear after i export it as a review or a scorm?

Hello Maarten,

Looks like your file has some corrupted data based on the screenshots that you shared. I'd like to ask a few questions to better understand your experience:

When publishing your course, are you doing so directly from your network drive?
Or is your course saved somewhere locally on your computer? Publishing on a network drive has been known to cause issues, so we generally recommend files to be saved locally, like somewhere in a C: drive directory to reduce the risk of data corruption.

If your file is already saved locally, try importing your project slides over to a new file to see if this helps.

If the issue persists, would you mind uploading a copy of your project file here for testing? You can also open a case with our support team if you prefer to have your file checked in private.

Hey,

I am publishing the file from a local drive. I tried copy pasting the slides over to a new file and it had the same issue. I am going to try a couple of things today and if all else fails i will send the source file :)

Update: importing the storyline file didnt work. I am now going to manually copypasta all the slides content to a new file and try that :)

Update: I recreated some of the affected slides from scratch and it seems to be working. I think this bug appears when you copy images over from a powerpoint where the images have animations baked into them from powerpoint. Super weird it was -- solved it is :)
