Weird Screen Fading/Wash Out when Fine Tuning and unmark Show Animation

Nov 08, 2022

Recently I have encountered some issues where I record screens and then use the Fine Tuning to adjust. There are times when I unmark the show animation option in the fine tuning window. When the items update, the screens are updated however they are faded/washed out on screen. This has happened to several screens in the project I am working on. When I actually view the scene, the screens look normal. If I then attempt to remark the show animation option in the fine tuning, the screens then come back looking normal. Anyone experienced this? What might cause? How to resolve?

Hi Kelly,

Sorry to hear you're hitting this snag! The issue does not happen in my tests when I untick the Show Animation option in the Fine Tuning window.

I'm happy to help troubleshoot. We can start by checking if you're working on your local drive; working on a network drive can cause erratic behavior. If the problem still happens, try running these steps to repair Storyline.

We'd be glad to investigate further if the steps above don't help. You may share your Storyline project file in a case so our Support team can take a look!

The files are local. I will attempt a repair and see if it helps. I have reinstalled within the last few months but I will try again. I am having issues with other files and erratic behavior with files not saving and loosing work. Thank you for responding. If I have more issues, I will start a case.
