I have a slide deck of 60! I am trying to figure out the ideal font size. I have tried changing font size from 18 -24. Once the slides are imported in storyline and previewed. Font still looks small. It doesn't seem have become bigger in size. It is hard to read. How can I get this right? Please help.
The first thing I would check is whether or not your slides are linked to a set of templates (select Slide Master view from the View menu tab). If they are, then what you should do is to adjust the font size for your text boxes in the Slide Master set. This should then adjust the font size on all your slides and maintain a consistent look.
Thanks Ned for your quick response. Here is my situation, this slide deck is too wordy. I am really trying to redesign from scratch. I am still figuring out right layout to come up with a few templates. In the meantime, I tried to import the slides which looked pretty decent in Storyline. While most of those imported slides font came out fine, only a couple got to a smaller size. I am wondering if there is a way to fix those?
I am still having trouble with the font size. It is really strange that on importing the powerpoint most of the slide font's come fine but a few slides it shrinks. I have even tried to go in the individual storyline slide to make sure the formatting is correct. Someone here please help me to fix this. Many thanks in advance.
Hi Walt, Thank you for pointing this out. So I have 4 slides that have similar format. The font of 3 slides look fine but one is off. I followed your steps. Right clicked the text boxes and checked the properties. All are set to "Shrink text on overflow". Please see attached. I am so confused.
The box that is shrinking the font size has more text than will fit in it. Text boxes that are set to Resize shape to fit text will resize and get bigger if you put too much text in them. Ones that are set to Shrink text on overflow will set the font size small enough that all the text is displayed. Ones that are Do not Autofit will just let the text run around outside the box..
Unfortunately, what this means for you is that you have to go to each box and make a decision. Either change the text, or the size of the box, or the size of the font.

Right click the text boxes that shrank, and check their properties. it is likely that they are set to Do not autofit.
