Hi. I am new to Storyline, so perhaps the answer is already out there and I just can't find it...
Based on their role, users will be directed to 1 of 3 menus (they select the correct option) this takes them to an interactive menu. However, certain slides are the same for each interactive menu, so I point to the same slide. What trigger do I need to install to then return the learner to the correct menu slide they came from (in some cases they will view a few slides before needing to return to the menu slide)? Is this possible?
Thanks Phil. That sounds good. Can you direct me to a link or description for how to set up a variable to track a role? I have only set up true/falses variable based on a visited state.

Use a variable to track their role and then use that as a condition to control navigation

Hello Jennifer and welcome to E-Learning Heroes :)
It sounds like a text variable may work well for you in this instance.
You can name the variable based on the role as you initially mentioned. Here is some documentation on using conditions on triggers as well.
If you have a sample .story file, I'm sure someone could get you started.
