Hi Peter and Ah,

I have the exact same issue. Damnest thing - everything is set correctly but when i select the correct andswer and press submit - it won't submit. If it is a multi-select question I can't select any of the options.

However if i preview the slide individually it will work - preview a whole scene or publish in any form and it won't work.

Did you guys get anywhere with this?

Hi James,

I don't see any additional information from Ah in regards to submitting a case - but this issue mentioned here is also over a year old. It sounds like some odd behavior in your file, and we'd still be happy to take a look. Can you first confirm that you've checked into the following elements:

  • Work on your local drive (your C: drive).Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, includingfile corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior.
  • You should also make sure the directory pathto your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters(for example C:\Articulate).
  • Avoid using special characters, accents orsymbols in your file names.
  • Import the project into a new project as described here.

Thank you Helen and Ashley,

I have figured out the fault. This is actually a training module that has been working for months but we decided to change the way we are presenting it so it needed some modifications to the assessment parts.

Fortunately I always save a backup before making changes and went back to that version, which worked fine.

Then I went step by step through the changes I had made (removing webobjects, adjusting the feedback layer, some variables) but I found the one that caused the submit button to stop submitting correct answers was... changing 'When Revisiting' for the question slide. It was set at 'Initial State' because in the old version if they got it wrong I had it jump back to the start to give them another try (a bit different to having a number of attempts).

Anyway if I change this to 'saved' or 'automatic' it stops the submit button from working. Quirky but it happens everytime to any question slide I apply the change to. When I change it back to 'initial' the slide works again.

Ashley, I took your advice and imported the entire file (with changes to the states done) into a new project and it works!

.... but now i just have to go through and fix all the 'jump to slide' and player settings/buttons. Still better than it not working.
