Hello, my company still hasn't decided whether to upgrade to SL2 or not. They have asked me to install the trial version of SL2 on my local pc, and as SL1 is already installed locally I am not sure if I can do it.
Does anyone know if an installation of SL2 overwrites SL1? If it doesn't I am fine.
It doesn't overwrite SL1 and they can live on the same system. What you will see is any file you try to open will likely default to opening with SL2 as the newest and latest install. If it was created in SL1 you'll receive a prompt that it'll make a back up copy and then you'll want to follow the steps here to open SL1 files.
