Wistia Video Hosting
Mar 31, 2015
I am wondering if anyone uses the Wistia platform to host their e-learning videos? My company is looking to use them to host our interactive simulation videos.
Their website says that they only accept the following file formats: Video MOV, MPG, AVI, FLV, F4V, MP4, M4V, ASF, WMV, VOB, MOD, 3GP, MKV, DIVX, XVID.
However Storyline is only letting us output to HTML5 or SWF format. I was wondering if any one else used the Wistia platform or used any conversion tools to get their files to the accepted format.

Hi Roberta,
I have not seen Wistia mentioned too often, but I wanted to share some other threads with ideas.
See here, and here. Hopefully others will jump in as well :)
Roberta,
This is a little old, but I am wondering why not export to .mp4 from Articulate Storyline? That's the format I use almost always.
Wistia is a VIDEO hosting site, it supports only video formats. I'm not sure what you mean by 'interactive simulation videos', but videos hosted on Wistia (or other sites like YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) will certainly NOT be interactive.
Hi Mitoo,
As further clarification, Storyline does not have an option to publish or export the entire content of the course to a single file, such as a video or MP4 file.
Thanks everyone. We discovered that Wistis is in fact for hosting only video content and will not support interactive content such as flash.
