Thought I'd write this in case someone runs into the same problem.
I had four hyperlinks at the end of four bullet points (the bullet points were in one text box.) But they didn't work, and yes, I'm familiar with how to create a hyperlink. Then I placed each of my bullet points with the hyperlink in its own text box, and then, magically, the hyperlinks work. I'm on an imac running parrallels, btw.
Anyway, this might save someone some time in the future. --Daniel
Hi, Peter: Thanks for your reply, yeah, I was using a fade in. Good to know you all are aware of it. Hey, SL is pretty damn good for a first release, though on some days I bet you wonder. Thanks again.
I only had one hyperlink in a long list of bullets. I had the text box animate by first level paragraph. As soon as I changed that to All At Once, it worked perfectly.
I have multiple hyperlinks in my bullets (non-animated), and they only work intermittantly :( I think I'll have to lose the links, which is disappointing.
Thanks for sharing the .story file here with us. I tested this by publishing to my AO Account (http://aterwilliger.articulate-online.com/9369963025) and I was able to use the links on the "Contact Us" layer. You'll want to make sure that when testing hyperlinks you're doing so in the published version and testing within the intended environment as otherwise you could encounter some local security restrictions. Also, I noticed you'd added the link multiple times to one hotspot, and that may be something you'd want to clean up just for overall ease of working in your trigger panel.
I've got the same- various hyperlinks throughout the project, but when publish and run as flash nothing happens when you click on the link. Some of the links do work in HTML5.
Some don't work in either (these are imbeded in Markers)
Sorry I need to add these hyperlinks are on different slides (not the same text box)- ive tried removing animation from an offending slide to no avail.
I have published the file locally bt still have the same issue. Hyperlinks link to intranet and internet sites.
It sounds like you're viewing the project locally.
If you're viewing your published files locally, this may be the problem. If you view a published Storyline presentation on your local hard drive or send it to someone else to view on their local hard drive, you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features of your content to fail.
To properly test your published content and share it with others, upload it to the environment for which it was published. Please review the article below for more information:
If you do not have access to a web server or LMS for testing, you could try using SCORM Cloud.
Another option would be to use our Tempshare server. Just keep in mind that this server is only available for testing content - it is not officially supported by Articulate and all content will be removed automatically after 10 days.
You're always welcome to try out Articulate Online, as well - it's available for a free 30 day trial.
Let us know if you have any luck after uploading your content to a server for testing.
Ginny: Would you be able to attache at least a slide or two of your project (even if you have to remove some info for confidentiality) so we could help you troubleshoot? Of course, you can always submit a case to Articulate. --Daniel

Good to know - thanks, Daniel!
I'm thinking maybe it has to do with running Windows on my mac, but you just never know.
Hey Daniel,
Did you use animation on the bullet points, by any chance? I'm wondering if it's related to this known issue...

Thank you! You just saved me a ton of time trying to figure this out.
Would it by chance be related to multiple hyperlinks within a single text box?

Hi Rebecca,
If you'd like to share your .STORY file here or submit it as a Support case we could take a look and see what may be happening with your links.
Thanks!
