I have one graphic that has several motion paths attached to it. I'm trying to make adjustments to various paths, but since the paths overlap I'm finding it difficult to figure out which motion path line I'm on. Does anyone know of an easy way to tell?
I agree it's awkward to work with several motion path animations on one object, especially if they overlap. I find that zooming in as much as possible helps. Also, to see which path is where, I rollover the list of paths in the trigger panel which then highlights each path.
I am having the same issue. Also, because my path line doesn't extend to the outside of my picture boundaries I can't select the line to edit it in any way or delete it.
You may have to zoom in (use the zoom in the lower right in the slide view window), but you can select a motion path and delete, even if the path doesn't extend beyond an object's boundaries.
Are you only unable to select them in this file, or are you seeing this across all files even with just one motion path? It may be as you mentioned that you have a number of them that criss cross/overlap and therefore hard to access them.
But if you're unable to select any in a new file perhaps, that would be a larger issue likely needing a repair of Storyline.
I am having the same issues - no way to edit the end point (without also having the start point move) and using the "change curve" just draws a new curve. I guess I'll have to try repair.
It sounds a little different than what Jenna was running into, as she wasn't able to select each path, as they were overlapping. I don't think you need to conduct the repair though, but that this is the way the motion paths work - and you may want to review the article here.
Ah, yes - I did find my exact problem on another thread. I still cannot select the end points - when I try to move the end point only, I move the entire path - which throws off the starting position.

I have tried this a few times and I still absolutely cannot select my motion paths :( It always selects the picture and goes to the Format tab.
Hi Jenna,

It would be lovely if one could view a list of the motion paths, as well as the coordinates of their start and end points.
Thanks Nathan, I could see that being a valuable idea and worth submitting a Feature request here.
I would love to see a list of motion paths - a few years has passed, do....Is the list feature available yet?
Hi there, Georgina!
Thanks for taking the time to add your vote and for sending in an official Feature Request, too!
Such a list isn't a feature in Storyline yet, but we'll let you know it gets added to a future update. Here's a peek into our decision process:
