Zoom & Text Entry Bug once on LMS
May 08, 2019
Hi all,
I am seeing a bug when I use zoom on a text entry field. The zoom will create a ghost image that then makes the text entry appear to be in the wrong location, which in turn makes it hard to know where to click after entering text.
Here's what the slide looks like -- well, the text entry portion.
When it's published on the LMS, it starts off looking fine, but as it zooms to the text entry, we get this ghost image.
This doesn't happen in Storyline Preview, or when I have published it to Web. It only happens now that it's on the LMS. I've reached out to my LMS provider as well to see if they can help, but I wanted to see if anyone here had experienced this or had any ideas.
Development Info:
Built in Storyline 360 | Added to Rise as a Storyline Block | Rise course published to LMS using SCORM 2004, 4th Edition.
Thank you!

Hi Okland,
Thanks for reaching out and letting us know what you are seeing with your project.
You mention that it's not occurring in Storyline 360 Preview or Web Publish, but only on your LMS.
Have you tested in SCORM Cloud to see if you are able to replicate the issue or if it's specific to your LMS?
With your permission, you're welcome to share your project file with our support engineers to investigate what's happening. You can share it privately by uploading it here. It will be deleted when troubleshooting is complete.
I tested it on a different LMS this morning and found the same problem.
I'd be happy to send you the file and see if the support engineers are able to find anything. Thank you!
Thanks so much. I see where you were able to reach out to our support team and that Chino is currently assisting you :)
Chino found a solution! I was using format background and adding the image so I could keep the text entry at the bottom of the timeline. The solution was to add the image as a Master Slide instead and then apply it to the slide. So far this seems to work.
Thanks for the great support!
Nice find from Chino! Thanks for keeping us updating Okland.
