Another Javascrpt Email question

Nov 14, 2016

Hello community.

Here's a little background on the course I am creating. I am putting together a new employee orientation program for employees who are new to state government. We require employees to read and acknowledge the policies of our agency. That was easily accomplished.

My management wants to have a certificate of completion with the course, also no problem. They also want a form that has to be completed and signed by the new employee's supervisor, but electronically signed. After discussing with our legal council, we can accept an email from the supervisor as an electronic signature.

The course is being built in Storyline 2, published as a SCORM package to be hosted/presented in Moodle 3.1, using Internet Explorer and Office 2010.

So what I would like to do is have the course start an email to the supervisor using an email template built in Outlook (all our employees use Outlook) that has the certificate and a checklist for the supervisor to complete. The email would need to be changed to high priority.

My question for the community is this, is this even possible? I know articulate does not support this, but I am hoping someone here has more experience than I do (which is precisely none).

Hello,

Thanks for the replies. I appreciate it. I was talking with one of my IT people (finally got in touch with the right person), he and I are working on this. I am going to forward him the first reply from Matthew. He thinks it is possible to use a template built in Outlook (on the organization server so all have access) that it can pull up as well as change the priority. Don't ask me how. But if we get it figured out I am going to share the code with everyone.
