I have recently started developing courses in Articulate 360 and I would like to start a graphic design course in order to enhance my design skills and add value to my courses. Can anyone recommend any online course specifically aimed at elearning developers? Information about graphic design courses which are not specifically related to elearning will also be useful!
I know you asked for a course, but I want to recommend a great book specifically about visual design for elearning. For me personally, it's much easier to understand and apply the principles of graphic design and visual communication when I have examples relevant to my own work.
Connie Malamed's Visual Design Solutions is all about how to use visuals more effectively for elearning. Her earlier book is good too, but the focus is broader visual communication. http://theelearningcoach.com/my-book/
On Lynda.com, try this course: Universal Principles of Design by William Lidwell. There are also many other courses that might have different elements of interest for you. Check with your local library to see if your membership includes a Lynda.com membership. Mine does!
