I am working with a very long project and I want to insert the same icon in all the slides. Therefore, I am wondering if there is any way to make it automatically like, for instance, when you ‘apply to all’ the modifications you want for your background.
you don't say which product you are working with. If SL you could add the icon to the master slide and it should flow through to all slides using that master. Here is a tutorial that may help you.
