Blurry Screen Captures

I'm fairly new to articulate storyline.  I'm having an issue getting crisp images and screen records into my project.  The images look crisp when I'm looking at them in "design mode".  When I preview or publish the project they look blurry.  They aren't terribly blurry; just blurry enough to wonder if your eyes need to be checked.

The story size has to be 970 x 690 (the aspect ratio is locked).  I have locked the player at it's optimal size.  I'm using a combination of screen records through articulate (step by step slides) and screen captures using Snag-It.  I seem to have the best success with Snag-It when I save the image as a PNG and then insert it.  But how can I consistently get the same crispness from screen records?
