Combined course information to all participants

Oct 06, 2016

I have a module I created involving Infection Prevention at our hospital.  The first dozen or so slides everyone in the hospital has to view.  Then I included a slide that breaks the groups off (clinical vs. non-clinical).  If you select the first radio button, you answer 5 questions and you're down with course.  If you choose the second radio button, you continue on to view 20-30 more slides and answer 17 questions.  I put a results slide and an exit slide after both sets of questions and uploaded to my LMS system.  Two problems presented themselves.  First, when I respond to the first radio button, I answer the 5 questions, it tells me I passed but my LMS tells me I haven't completed the course.  Second, if respond with the other radio button, I can get through all of the slides, answer the 17 questions.  This time when I grade the test, it tells me I didn't get any right, score is zero.

My question to the group, can I add multiple question sets to a course and have them grade independently of each other?  If so, how??  I don't want the questions merged together nor do I want to select that the student must pass each sets.

I hope I've provided enough information. I did just add the course as an attachment.

Hi,

I think the problem here is, that you have 2 result slides but when publishing for your LMS storyline can only choose 1 that counts. Never done that before but you might have to build a result slide which contains both result slides and adds the points of them and choose this slide as a result slide when publishing. I put an example in your course in an extra scene just to show you what I mean. You can delete the scene in the player menu (done that already) so no one sees this final result slide.

Maybe this article is helpful too.

And you might want to change your slide properties to "resume saved state" or "resume to initial state" so you can control whats happening when a user goes back to a visited slide.
