Creating highlight effect on pictures in storyline

Jul 18, 2018

Hi

I would like to ask for some ideas on creating an effect on pictures in storyline.

I would like to highlight certain things in a picture during different timeframes.

Anyone knows how to create this effect?

Thank You

With Regards

Kiran

Hi Kiran,

From what I understand, maybe you could try using shapes to cover the parts you don't want to highlight.

You can use black shapes with some opacity so that you can still see through but it should emphasize the parts that aren't covered.

And with the timeline, you can show/hide parts of the pictures at different timings.

I hope this helps. This is just one idea.

Have a lovely day!

Hi Kiran,

I often use the Spotlight & Magnify effect in Snagit after I take a screen capture to emphasize sections. For example, if I had three items I want to emphasize at different points, I'd make three images spotlighting and magnifying each section in turn. Then I'd layer them on my Storyline 360 slide and have each one display at the appropriate time on the timeline.

Good luck,

Gina
