Creating pre assessments to decide what a learner needs to cover

May 16, 2024

Hi

I would like to build an eLearning which starts with a pre-assessment, which will end with seeing the results, including what questions the learner got wrong (the knowledge gap). I would like the eLearning to transition to just the sections that link to the questions the learner got wrong.

Can this be done in Articulate? If so, can anyone guide me to resources that show me how to do it, just guide me?

Thanks in advance

That is possible with Storyline 360.

You could use True/False variables to track which questions are answered correctly and incorrectly. Then use triggers with conditions to steer the user to the appropriate scenes. For example, have a menu that shows buttons to the required scenes.

It’s worth the effort to learn about variables and trigger conditions, because they provide the real power in Storyline. Here’s more info info.

These posts aren't about your exact situation. But they might be helpful, because they provide examples of conditional triggers for navigation.
