That's a great question and part of why I've never liked tracking by "slides viewed". LOL That being said, I suspect it is likely updated to "viewed" at the end of each slide's timeline.
If you want to change this, you can use your own variable(s) and update it on each slide at any point you want such as at start, at end, when timeline reaches.... etc. Then use the variable(s) to answer a hidden t/f question. (i.e. if variable > X, change state of True Button to selected.) The question can now send a passed/failed or complete/incomplete to your LMS through a visible or hidden results slide.
