Hi, I have a number of text entry variables set up in a course. On-screen they are set to the Articulate font on the sample text, on the text entry text box, and on the slide master font default. When I publish, the sample text and the user input shows in a serif font. How can I lock in the font that displays (sample text and user input) on the screen? By the way, the text shows up in Articulate font when I show the Reference.

Which version of Storyline are you using? This was fixed in SL360 and SL3 but will be present in SL1 and 2.
IF you are on 3 or 360 and it only happens in IE there is a possibility that IE is blocking web fonts which are needed for this to work.
