I want to create an online testing platform with a 1000 question test bank. The questions are from 25 different financial topics. I would like the students to be able to create random question exams with the following controls.
1. topic exams- choosing number of questions from topic # in the Bank with random question pull.
2. multi topic exams - choosing question quantity and random question pull.
That’s correct. Years ago I was studying for a major career exam. I purchased a cd that allowed me to select and create random question quizzes from one or multiple topics. I could also choose the number of questions. This method of study was very useful in preparing for the test.
I am now producing review materials for financial service exams and would love to use a platform like this as part of my course offering.
Interesting! I've never seen anything like that. This may be possible to do in Storyline with question banks and variables, but I'm not sure exactly how to go about it. Has anyone else ever tried doing something like this?

It sounds like you want the learner to choose the number of questions that will be pulled from a bank of 1000 questions. What else do you need to do? Can you elaborate please? Thanks!
I would set up a 1000 or so question bank. Each question has a topic number assigned to it in the body For example topic (20) is “trust planning”. There may be 30 questions under this topic #. There are 30 total topics.
I want a student to be able to take a quiz by asking the system to pull X number of random question within a topic number. So the student could take a quiz on 20 trust questions or a quiz on two related topics. Basically the student should be able to have a drop down box to choose the topic(a) to be quizzed on and another box to choose the question quantity.
