Font Help

Jul 31, 2014

Good Afternoon Community,

I thought I'd throw this out there to the group for input...

I'm working on a Storyline project that includes translation into the following languages:

  • Brazilian Portuguese
  • Cambodian
  • Chinese (Traditional and Simplified)
  • Czech
  • Dutch
  • English
  • French
  • French Canadian
  • German
  • Italian
  • Japanese
  • Korean
  • Russian
  • Spanish (Latin American and European)
  • Vietnamese
  • Thai

If you've worked on a translated project, you know that you can only choose a single language for the player. However, in the course menu, we get around this my using a Unicode font that contains the characters for the various languages listed above. This allows us to have our menu items display in the correct language.

In the past we've never had issues with this process, but this time we added a few additional languages (Cambodian, Vietnamese, and Thai). The issue is that these characters are not supported in the unicode font we've been using.

So, here's my question(s)...

Does anyone know of a Unicode font that contains all of the characters for the languages above? If not, does anyone know how I can go about editing a font and manually adding those characters to it? OR, is there a better solution altogether?
