Great tool so far. I do have a couple of questions
1) Is there a way to pull the full course structure to be able to create a customized menu, resources and glossary widget? I know there is the customizing of the player in what menu items and such, but for us, we need more. This seems to be an issue with every elearning tool
2) Is there a way to interface a external swf to an element in a slide or properties of the presentation
Hi Curtis! Are you working with Articulate Presenter? If so, yes, there is an SDK which allows Flash developers to create custom skins. You can find out more in this post. You might also like to check out Dave Mozealous' post about how he created a custom skin in less than an hour. For some ready-made custom skins that other community members have built, you can check out the freebies in the Downloads area.
About your swf question... can you say a little more about the effect you're wanting to create? Are you just wanting to allow users to invoke a swf by clicking on an object or by clicking on a player item?
We have in the past. Does creating custom skins work the same way for storyline? As for swf, we have "widgets" like a 3d carousel that will load a slide based on the image you create. How was that SWF tell the presentation to go to a slide?
Custom skins created for Articulate Presenter were developed using Articulate Presenter's SDK and will not work with Storyline.
We are planing to release a Storyline SDK later this year. Until then, there's no supported method for using widgets to communicate with the Storyline player.
I am intrigued by your second question about interfacing with an external swf file. Can you give me some more details about what you want to accomplish?

I hope this helps!
So I guess that would mean there is no way to truly create a custom skin at this time (until the SDK comes out) :(
Any timeframe on that SDK?
Curtis,
Currently, it's not possible to create a custom player skin for Storyline that is similar to the Articulate Presenter SDK skins.
There is no exact time frame as to when the Storyline SDK will be released.
Thanks for the quick replies.
Hi Curtis,

Thanks
