Generating truly customizable menus

Hi Curtis! Are you working with Articulate Presenter? If so, yes, there is an SDK which allows Flash developers to create custom skins. You can find out more in this post. About your swf question... can you say a little more about the effect you're wanting to create? Are you just wanting to allow users to invoke a swf by clicking on an object or by clicking on a player item?

We have in the past. Does creating custom skins work the same way for storyline? As for swf, we have "widgets" like a 3d carousel that will load a slide based on the image you create. How was that SWF tell the presentation to go to a slide?

Custom skins created for Articulate Presenter were developed using Articulate Presenter's SDK and will not work with Storyline.

We are planing to release a Storyline SDK later this year. Until then, there's no supported method for using widgets to communicate with the Storyline player.

So I guess that would mean there is no way to truly create a custom skin at this time (until the SDK comes out) :(

Currently, it's not possible to create a custom player skin for Storyline that is similar to the Articulate Presenter  SDK skins.

There is no exact time frame as to when the Storyline SDK will be released.
