Help please - Amazon S3 hosting and overwriting

Mar 08, 2021

Hi all

I am hosting a course on Amazon S3. It is intended to be accessed reasonably often (it contains our re-opening plans for post-lockdown) and as such we are making changes and adding new content as we go over the next few weeks.

So I guess it is less of a course and more of an evolving information site....

Anyway, when I upload the newest version, some users are experiencing glitches. It looks like the old and new versions are splicing together. So text and images in disarray on their screens, not making any sense.

I have cleared out any files associated with the old version from the bucket, and even completely re-uploaded having emptied it. Clearing their google chrome cache solves this issue, but don't want to tell them to do that every time they access it.

Has anyone had this issue before? Any settings when I upload I can change or tweak? So far I have disabled / enabled bucket versioning with no affect either way.

Fear it is something local on their Chrome, but would love to hear your experiences or any help!
