How to print and save text entry field?

Hello!

I am creating a course in which learners will "write (type) in a journal," which they would then be able to save and/or print. (This is not an evaluation of any kind; it is simply the learner's personal reflections.)

My hope is to present a graphical journal page as the text entry field and PRINT MY JOURNAL and SAVE MY JOURNAL as buttons on the page beside the journal page.

From the little research I've done, it looks like this involves creating JavaScript - which I don't know. Is there an easier option?
