Improper validations

Apr 30, 2018

I have a project with a fill in the blanks question that will mark a question correct in a practice scenario and give the student credit for answering it correctly, but when they go back and review the practice test is shows them that their answer was wrong. It still counts their answer as being correct, but instead of the green "correct" message, they receive the red "incorrect" one.

Any thoughts ?

Same problem here. I've tried everything I can think of. Whether the Review Results trigger box in the Triggers panel is selected or not does not seem to make a difference. Whether the user has actually selected the correct answer or not does not seem to make a difference. The "incorrect" and "correct" banners seem to appear at random.

We are using SL3

I think we figured it out.

In the slide properties/revisiting slides there's an option to have the slide either resume saved state, reset to initial state or automatically decide  upon revisiting. To validate correctly it needs to either resume saved state or auto decide. Reset to initial state gives an inaccurate response.

I didn't find dallas ivt's solution to be workable in my quiz. No matter what state is selected in properties/revisiting slides, the Incorrect Response banner shows up on some of the slides in the set, regardless of whether the correct answer was supplied or not. I have removed the Review button for now to get around this, but I would like to know if there's a solution. I will look closer at the other slides in the set to see if I can see anything that's triggering this banner.
