Hi everyone. I'd really appreciate some help on this. I'm trying to change the state of a shape so that it appears 'selected' when clicked and if clicked again it goes back to 'not selected'. I know there are inbuilt states, but I couldn't get those to work either. I've attached my story file.
I've tried changing the order of the state triggers, and creating custom states, but to no avail.
I can get it to work if I keep 'Normal' in there, and then alternate between state triggers will careful ordering, but it doesn't make sense having to do this.
Take a look at the attached modified example. I just used the Normal and Selected states to do what you want. If you don't have a Visited state, the object will go back to Normal if you unselect it.

Hi Alison. That's certainly a lot easier! :-)
I'm still uncertain why using custom dates didn't work though with triggers, but many thanks for your response.
