Layer wont show more than once

Oct 29, 2018

Hi all

Come across that dreaded point when working on a part of eLearning and I've gone 'trigger blind'. I've attached the slide that's causing me a pain. The 12 hours of building the rest of the course today probably isn't helping ha.

The issue:

Basically I've got everything working as it should the first time around so far. However if I try and do the same thing a second time around (so effectively a learner wants to do it again) the layer wont show. Everything else works again, just the issue with the layer (cust 1 layer)

How it's been built so far:

1) Click on 'cust 1' picture and it goes on the first motion path. The cust 1 picture state changes to 'view' which makes it larger.

2) Once motion paths ends it changes a 'cust 1 variable' to change from false to true. The 'cust 1 layer' is triggered to show once this motion path ends.

3) On the layer there's a pause timelines and resume to allow the animations in and out just for added effect. It resumes once you click the 'close X' button.

4) end of the timeline for the layer then changes the 'cust 1 variable' to change back to false and also to close.

5) trigger for second motion path, from relative start point' of the cust 1 picture as a result of the variable changing back to false in the previous step.

6) State of the cust 1 picture then changes to 'done' to show completion.

This is when if I try and the it again everything works (motion paths, states, variable changes) apart from showing my cust 1 layer.

If anyone can help that would be amazing. I don't want to have to change this because it's making what is essentially a 'click and read' slide less dull. I'm hoping it's just my preview mode or laptop playing up :s

Thanks in advance

Phill

Hi Joanne, thanks for taking a look at this. Little frustrating that it's a bug, but at least it wasn't me missing something obvious I guess ha. Had to start the whole slide again because even when I created another layer and trigger it then decided to not even show the layer. At least I wasn't too far into it, proves the importance of testing as you go I suppose.
