Linking Images in PPT

Apr 11, 2011

Hi. I'm sure this is a very basic ppt function, but I am very new to designing elearning and to this community.

I have an image of a sailboat with the company logo overlaid, so that it seems to be on the sail. I want to animate the images, so that the sailboat appears to be rocking on the waves, but I cannot find out how to link the logo image to the sailboat, so that they both move simultaneously. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

By the way, I really appreciate this forum. I have learned so much through this community!

Hi there Leanne, and welcome!   What you can do is place your logo image on the sail, and then group the two images so that you can animate them as one object.

To group the objects, select one of the objects with your mouse, hold down your shift key & select the other object. Now both objects should be selected, and you can hit Ctrl-G to group them. Then you'll be able to animate the group as one object.

Hope that helps!
