Hi! My company is looking to purchase video editing software. I'm a newbie in video editing, so I'm looking for something easy to use.
I'm on a PC running Windows 7, so iMovie is not an option. My computer has an Intel Core i7-6600U CPU @ 2.60 GHz, 16 GB of RAM, and a 64 bit operating system.
One software that I have found very helpful for minor video editing is sceeencastomatic. They have a free version and a paid version. The paid version is very inexpensive and easy to use.
These tools look very similar to Articulate Replay, which we already have. Do you know if you can upload videos to screen cast o'matic to edit, or is it only screen casts? It looks like a good screencasting tool, but I don't think it's quite what we are looking for.
I too am very interested in this topic. I"m going to try out the trial of movavi ( https://www.movavi.com/videoeditor/ ) today. It seems like the best for the money.
You can upload videos on the pro version I know for sure. I am definitely not an expert for video editing, but have found what I needed through this software.
I use Camtasia for Mac but their Windows version actually has more features. I find it very easy to use. TechSmith has some great tutorial videos on their site to get started.
Another vote for Camtasia...I think it's one of the more intuitive video capturing/editing programs there is and it has enough features to make it very customizable (adding text boxes, arrows, transitions, music, etc.) without a crazy menu like a certain Adobe product that makes my head want to explode sometimes...

Hi all,
I would highly recommend Camtasia Studio by Tech Smith. It is very cheap fir what it does and is an essential tool imo.
