Looking to hire developers for online Deaf eLearning program for adults

Aug 25, 2015

Hi there,

My name is Matt Foran.  I'm the manager for our Deaf Learn Now program.  To our knowledge, we're the first online program for Deaf, Deafblind and Hard of Hearing adults in the world...  Our program is based out of George Brown College in Toronto.

Our program is free for Ontario residents (Canada) and we're looking to open up to international students.  We offer interactive courses (that are fully accessible) for our students to develop academic and life skills. We have a drivers license training course, some math and English courses and we're happy to say that we're in need of growing our list of courses significantly...

Our team will be developing more courses in the months ahead and we're looking to hire on skilled e-course developers who have an awareness of interactive functionality, accessibility and Deaf / Hard of Hearing issues (developers do not have to be Deaf, or have ASL skills - but these would be great assets).

I am looking to hire folks on a contract basis to work with our existing team to develop more content.

I'm really excited for the future - we are scaling some mountains that we never imagined before and uncovering some new landscapes ... Programming for Deaf persons is very new - if you're an ambitious and talented person who is interested in some contract work (work part-time, evening, day time / weekends), please send me an email with links to some of your work.

Thank you for checking into our program,

Matt
