Need Screenr Help

Jul 09, 2012

I am trying to make a screen recording of a presentation I made in Articulate Presenter.  This is to be used as a recruiting video and does not need to be interactive.  I just wanted to get a recording of it so I can embed it and use it where needed and still have it play on iPhone/iPad/other Mobile devices.

For some reason, Screenr is not picking up the audio.  I have tried selecting every option it gives me for audio, to no avail.  I know there must be something I am doing wrong, as I have used Screenr before to record my voice just fine.

Also, Screenr seems to be acting up.  It is taking a long time to load the recorder and it is taking forever to publish, if it even publishes at all.  I have had to use CTRL-ALT-DEL several times today.  My computer is functioning fine for everything else.

Here is a link to the presentation if you can glean any clues from it:

As a side note, I feel as though I may have been the "Frankencourse" reference, but hopefully you can see by my new presentation that I've made some progress.

Hey Andrea, are you still having trouble with Screenr? Just to clarify: you are wanting to record the audio of your course as it plays back, rather than record your voice? If so, before you begin recording, try clicking the microphone icon in the lower-left of your Screenr recording window, and choose Stereo Mix. (Be sure you have stereo mix enabled in your control panel too.)

Thanks Jeanette.  I appreciate the reply.

I tried your tips and it worked, but with unsatisfactory results...I can see why that is not a recommended method.  I actually ended up just making a .wmv file, then converted it to format I could edit on my Avid App for iPad.  Whew!

Here's the final result if anyone is interested:  http://youtu.be/VvwczxHY7io
