New laptop/desktop suggestions?

I'm going to be upgrading my hardware before New Year's. I work from home, and have a 2011 Macbook Pro. It's running like a turtle. I'm not jazzed about spending a ton on another one. Wondering for what I need if I should a) get a desktop or iMac b) if I could possibly go back to a laptop...
I run a ton of browser tabs usually, create infographics, .ppt and the rest of office suite, record audio/video (but I can use my iPad for video), am on YouTube frequently, blog, create graphics.
Any suggestions out there? I've heard the Lenovo Yoga 3 laptop is great. Part of me is seriously considering a desktop (or iMac).

Are you working with Storyline and/or Studio? Keep in mind, these are Windows-only applications. So, for them to run on a Mac, you need to use a Windows emulator. Here are the system requirements for Storyline 2.
Here is some info on using Articulate software on Macs.
