Object States on Master Slides in SL2

Hey everyone,

I'm attempting to build a "status bar" to show the learner how well or how bad they are doing in an activity.

I created a quick little demo where there is a triangle shape on a master slide and the state of that triangle moves left or right based on a variable number. That variable number is triggered on the individual slides.

When I test out a scene, the very first slide correctly triggers the triangle to move, but when I advance to the next slide (that has no trigger), the triangle goes back to it's original position. I need the triangle to retain it's position based on the variable trigger and it is not doing it for some reason.

Any ideas?
