Office Waste Management Course
Jun 11, 2019
I built this for our office to try to get a little team spirit around our waste management and waste reduction efforts. Sharing here both in the hopes of getting some feedback from more experienced builders and hoping others will include something in their own workplaces. We did a neighbourhood clean up as part of our corporate volunteer program and I snagged 15 contractor sized bags full of wrecked plastic and junk from just two square city block! ICK! :)

nicely done.
I am interested to know how you did the graphics with the slider bar, 1-4. "big blue bin" I don't know if I am even saying that right my brain isn't working today
Thanks, Michael!
Hi Mischelle,
I used a flashcard stack. The slider bar adds itself automatically. I find it is more visible/noticeable when you have a stack of at least three cards.
Great job on this course Sarah! I found it really informative and engaging. :)
Thanks, Allison! :)
;)
Nice course! A good mix of text and graphics. And the knowledge checks are actually challenging.
I really enjoyed this. ✋
Thanks, Andrew!
Thank you, Ciara!
tHi Sara, I really like your course. It's simple, not overwhelming and the message is clear. The gifs are great, adding a bit humor.I hope that more and more people will become Waste Wiazrds ;)
Last week I have created an interactive infographic for e-learning challenge. The topic is similar - plastic waste production in EU.

Thanks, Andrzej! Yours is lovely, too! I live the interactive scrolling - looks great. Thanks for helping create Waste Wizards with your learners! :)
Very impressive. I clearly need to spend some time with Rise.
Also, this is why I use metal reusable straws!
I recently created a similarly veined topic - coincidentally, I used the exact same cover photo :D
I found the checklist and labelled graphic blocks particularly useful.

@SarahBezanson this article changes the way that you explain gratefully about office waste management.
@SarahBezanson How did you get the leaf icons into the lesson titles? That's a nice idea.
Looks great, however, training alone IS NOT ENOUGH, you should compliment your extensive course with coaching sessions, over a timeline, to make sure the implementation of what they've learned in the course, if you need to see real Training ROI.

Really nice use of Rise Roni.
Thanks Sarah...didn't know you could use those in Rise!
Sarah....didn't know you could use those in Rise but how do you insert them into the headings?
Just a cut and paste directly into the headings! :)
Cool thanks Sarah....I was trying to be clever with the code numbers....simply copying and pasting the image worked fine!
