Play media after layers viewed

I have nine layers on a slide and want an audio file to play after all nine have been viewed. I have created a variable that counts to nine and have a trigger to play the audio when 9 is reached but... the audio doesn't play. It's available to play but doesn't start on its own. I think it's because the increment to 9 happens when the layer is triggered not when the user returns to the base layer... any thoughts as to how I might fix this?
Thanks,
Brian

Have a look at the attached and see if that's what you wanted. Having a variable count to 9 may not be the best approach, because then I could simply click the same layer nine times. I used the Visited state of buttons and a True/false variable to play audio once all nine buttons have been clicked.
Yours is a MUCH better approach! Thank you.

Brian
