I've gone over to 16:9. Wish I could set it up as a default slide size. The only reason I would have to switch back to 4:3 is if the client specifically requested it or if I where developing for a 4:3 mobile device like an iPad.
When targeting tablets, we typically change it to be around 16:10. That way it's in between the ratio's for iPads and Android devices, and we end up with the least amount of 'unused' space. Everything else is 16:9 these days.
I am really enjoying 4:3 again at the moment, last few years I have done loads of 16:9 courses and 4:3 is a breath of fresh air. I also like that engage shows with no letter boxing.

Still on Powerpoint 2010
That's really helpful, guys! Thank you!
16:9 (exept when the projector won't do it) which is the default size in my version of PowerPoint 2016
The new designer feature is pretty cool: https://blogs.office.com/2015/11/13/the-evolution-of-powerpoint-introducing-designer-and-morph/
16:9 over here too, but I don't use Studio nearly as much now as I used to.
I've been digging 16:9 lately. I'm during PPT 2013.
Like Ashley, I don't use it as much as I used to (I'm Storyline-centric) - but 16:9 is my preference.
16:9, PPT 2013
u less client requests otherwise

4:3 in the main.
Not using Studio much anymore (Storyline 2 is the "go to"), but prefer 16:9.
We don't really use Studio much anymore; we've gone to Storyline 2. The ration we used and Studio and currently use in Storyline 2 is 16:9.
We don't really use Studio since purchasing Storyline 2, however if we do, we use 16:9.
16:9 is my preference
I typically use 16:9 whenever possible, since I use a lot of HD video content, and it plays a little cleaner.
I use PowerPoint 2010 in the office, and PowerPoint 2013 at home.
When I do have to use Studio, it 4:3. Most of our user's screens aren't widescreen
I use 16:9 now, we changed all employees over to wider screens and it just looks better.

4:3 for me (PPT 2013)
4:3 for me (PPT 2010)
Rarely use Studio since Storyline came out, but 16:9
16:9
When using Studio, I created the standard 4:3 screen with PowerPoint 13. (I also use Storyline where most of my newer courses are the wider format)
Depends on what the content is.
Widescreen
