PPT animation to follow a line
Jun 01, 2015
I don't think there's a way to do this, but I thought I'd check if you knew of a way. If I draw a line using a line tool and make it curvy, wiggly, all around the slide.... is there a way to animate it appearing following the line?
I could imagine trying to piece it together in segments and doing each little segment as a wipe, but I'd love to see a "follow the line" animation. Just hoping upon hope it's possible. I'm using PowerPoint 2013. Thanks!

Hi Heather,
I would recommend having a look at this link to find out how to create custom motion paths in PowerPoint. Hope that helps! :)
Thanks... I didn't describe it well. I'm not looking for a motion path to follow a line. I'm looking to make a squiggly line animate onto the screen following the line. So, wipe works on a straight line because you can just make it wipe on in the direction of the line... but if it's a squiggly line, can you animate it onto the screen following the shape of the line?
Sorry Heather, I misunderstood your question! Unfortunately, I'm not aware of a way to achieve what you're looking to do. Hopefully someone in the community will be able to help!
What you are asking for can be created in Flash Pro. Then import the product as an SWF into the storyline project.
