Pre-test with map

Sep 26, 2013

Hi Heroes!

Yesterday I read Toms' post about adult motivation and was thinking about 3rd bullet (Build on what people know). I think that it's one of most important and forgotten thing in Instructional Design. Why do I have to waste my time to "learn" things I already know?

I think the best and easiest way is to prepare a pre-test with feedback (ie. map) where user can see which parts of our course he need to improve, which he should pass and which are just waste of time.

I  prepared a simple pre-test with map (check here).

If You want use it, here is source (*.story file).

Note:

to check how pre-test works please try to answer:

  • one module/part with all correct answers
  • one part with some 2 correct and 1 bad
  • third part with all incorect answers

Do You have better ideas how to check what is a real need for user?

Hi Maciej,

Looks great, although you may reduce transparency a little to make the text more readable.
